What CA DOT will do if the trailers gvwr tag is missing is go under the trailer and get the axles tagged weight from the little metal tags. What CHP does for non commercial would be a question you need to check out.
Your RV dealer or the manufacture can retag your unit.
Before Weekend Warrior went out of business I asked them to send me a new tag for 15,000 lbs. It was tagged for 16,000 lbs.

Bring the rig to a commercial wheel and frame shop and they should have no problem aligning it for you. I've had it done on both my Warrior's and it shouldn't cost over $250

I'm here to tell ya, when you get stuck on that Rasor entrance road, you can REALLY get stuck!!
Same thing happened to Mike and Theresa Parrot when they tried to come down the Rasor Road. Mike buried his 2x2 pick up and 5th wheel. Nicky
wrecked his truck trying to pull them out.

Nope..... We were there at Rasor and it will be the last. When the road is wet it's quicksand...... when the deep sand parts of the road are dry you might have to air down your tires to make it.

We tried to go there recently and the road in was very poor. You could see you might get stuck in the sand on the road into Rasor.
The BLM claims they are going to improve the road, but it never will happen. Also, look out for the crazy nuts who shoot off firearms and big bore fireworks right in the camping areas. It's not very good.

When we were there, there was a huge wind storm that came out of nowhere and we lost two awnings. I ain't going there again.
I remember...... horrible. Poor Nicky, he never recovered

RE: Dragging rear of 5th wheel
I had similar problem.....
I made 1/4" steel skid plates for the rear which I bolted on to the fram.
Second photo shows the right hand side bolted on.
